Bopanna, is on the verge of making tennis history as he is set to become the oldest player to achieve the World No. 1 ranking in men’s doubles.

The 43-year-old, partnering with Australian Matthew Ebden, secured a place in the semifinals of the Australian Open after defeating the sixth-seeded Argentinian duo of Máximo González and Andrés Molteni with a comfortable scoreline of 6-4, 7-6 (5).
