If you thought world No. 2 tennis star Rafael Nadal would be taking it easy after winning his record-tying 20th grand slam, think again. The Spaniard, who was born in Mallorca, swapped his tennis rackets and balls for golf clubs and balls as he competed in the Balearic Golf Championship less than two weeks after winning at Roland Garros. Turns out he is equally adept on the fairways and greens as he is on clay, grass and hard courts.
Playing against 59 other golfers, most of whom were professional players, the 34-year-old Nadal finished nine over par after a final round 77, meaning he was tied for sixth position. The Mallorcan finished 10 shots behind eventual winner Sebastian Garcia, who finished one under par to take home the title.
